New leaks around OPPO’s next compact flagship, the OPPO Find X9s, are emerging and there is now a hint that it may actually come to India. According to Indian tipster Debayan Roy, OPPO could launch the Find X9s in India around March 2026. This is the first time an India timeline has been mentioned, as earlier leaks were limited to the Chinese market.
The earlier details came from Chinese tipsters, including Digital Chat Station, who revealed the phone’s hardware but didn’t comment on global availability. Roy’s tip suggests OPPO may be planning a wider rollout this time, instead of keeping the Find X9s limited to China.
As per Roy, the OPPO Find X9s is expected to feature a 6.3-inch flat LTPS OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. That screen size places it in the compact flagship category, which is seeing renewed momentum. Phones like the OnePlus 13s and Vivo X300, along with upcoming compact or ‘Pro Mini’ models from several brands, show that smaller premium phones are quite in demand.
On the performance side, Roys says the Find X9s will run on MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500+ chipset. This aligns with information from Chinese leaks, which suggested the phone would be a step up from the Dimensity 9400+ used in the Find X8s. At this level, the difference between flagship chips tends to show up more in efficiency and sustained performance than day-to-day speed, so the processor choice is unlikely to be much of a talking point.

Cameras are where the Find X9s could change OPPO’s approach. Both Roy and earlier Chinese reports point to a triple rear camera setup with a 200MP main sensor, a 200MP periscope telephoto camera, and a 50MP ultra-wide lens. While 200MP sensors are no longer unusual on flagships, using two of them, especially with one dedicated to periscope zoom, is rare. This would be a clear shift from the Find X8s, which used a triple 50MP setup with Hasselblad tuning, and would put the Find X9s in closer competition with camera-heavy flagships from Samsung and Xiaomi.
Battery capacity is another area where the phone could stand out. The Find X9s is rumoured to pack a battery larger than 7,000mAh, up from the 5,700mAh unit in the Find X8s. That would be notable for a phone in this compact size class. Other expected features include wireless charging, a metal frame, an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, and high-level water and dust resistance, possibly IP69.
For buyers in India, the OPPO Find X9s could be worth keeping an eye on if you want a smaller flagship without obvious compromises on cameras or battery life. As always, pricing will be key. Compact flagships often end up being priced close to larger rivals, and OPPO will need to justify the proposition beyond size alone.
